DKIMproxy

DKIMproxy is an SMTP-proxy that signs and/or verifies emails, using the Mail::DKIM module. It is designed for Postfix, but should work with any mail server. It comprises two separate proxies, an "outbound" proxy for signing outgoing email, and an "inbound" proxy for verifying signatures of incoming email. With Postfix, the proxies can operate as either Before-Queue or After-Queue content filters.

• DKIMproxy can now be configured using configuration files, instead of only through command-line argument. New installations will want to take advantage of this. Editing a configuration file is much nicer than having to edit the startup script.
• DKIMproxy can now add multiple signatures in one pass. This lets you, for example, generate a DomainKey-Signature *and* a DKIM-Signature on your outgoing messages.
• DKIMproxy now lets you specify different options depending on the sender of the message being signed. This is helpful for sites hosting many domains, who may want to use a different private key and/or selector for each domain being hosted.

anyRemote

The overall goal of this project is to provide remote control service on Linux through Bluetooth, InfraRed, Wi-Fi or just TCP/IP connection. anyRemote supports wide range of modern cell phones like Nokia, SonyEricsson, Motorola and others. It was developed as thin communication layer between Bluetooth (or IR, Wi-Fi) capabled phone and Linux, and in principle could be configured to manage almost any software. anyRemote is console application, but in addition there are GUI front ends for Gnome and KDE.

Milter manager

Milter manager is a free software to protect you from spam mails and virus mails effectively with milter. Milter manager can be used with MTAs that supports milter like Sendmail and Postfix. It works on Ubuntu, CentOS, FreeBSD and so on.

Milter manager is a milter that manages multiple milters. We can register multiple milteres to milter managers and a milter session for milter manager is transfered to registered milters. Registered milter is called "child milter".

Milter manager works as a proxy. milter manager looks like a milter from MTA side. milter manager looks like a MTA from child milter. Milter manager embeds Ruby interpreter. Ruby is a real programming language that provides easy to read syntax and flexibility.

Milter manager can configure milters more flexible than existing MTA because milter manager's configuration file is processed as a Ruby script. For example, milter manager can detect milters installed in your system and register it. It means that you can change each milter's configuration without updating milter manager's configuration.

IndiMail

IndiMail is a mailing solution built using following packages qmail, serialmail, qmailanalog, dotforward, fastforward, mess822, daemontools, ucspi-tcp, Courier IMAP/POP3, Bogofilter - A Bayesian Spam Filter, Fetchmail, other useful utilities (pack, unpack, altermime, ripmime, flash). IndiMail also provides Management of Virtual domains. Lot of the integration has been done by modifying some of the core components. IndiMail works on 32 / 64 bit Unix platforms.

The power of IndiMail lies in the ability to distribute the users across multiple hosts in a non-proprietary, simple way. You can have multiple hosts hosting a domain placed anywhere and tied up by IndiMail. This allows you to migrate seamlessly from a proprietary solution like Lotus Notes or MS Exchange to IndiMail. Just install the proxy IMAP/POP3 and point the MX record to IndiMail.

Though IndiMail uses the power of qmail, it has multiple queues (called a queue collection). The collection allows IndiMail to process a very high incoming rate of mails. The system ids, configuration files used by IndiMail are all configurable through a set of environment variables. This gives the ability of a single installation of IndiMail have a different behavior for each queue, sender, recipient, source host, destination host.

Open DC Hub

Open DC hub is a Unix/Linux version of the hub software for the Direct Connect network. Direct Connect is a file sharing network made up by hubs, to which clients can connect. Once connected to a hub, the user can search for files on the hub or the network, or browse files of other users connected to the hub.

Courier Mail Server

The Courier mail transfer agent (MTA) is an integrated mail/groupware server based on open commodity protocols, such as ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, LDAP, SSL, and HTTP. Courier provides ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, webmail, and mailing list services within a single, consistent, framework. Individual components can be enabled or disabled at will. The Courier mail server now implements basic web-based calendaring and scheduling services integrated in the webmail module. Advanced groupware calendaring services will follow soon.

The Courier mail server's source code should compile on most POSIX-based operating systems based on Linux, and BSD-derived kernels. The Courier mail server should also compile on Solaris and AIX, with some help from Sun's or IBM's freeware add-on tools for their respective operating systems.

The Courier mail server evolved out of several related projects, that merged together (more on that later). The Courier mail server implements SMTP extensions for mailing list management and spam filtering. The Courier mail server can function as an intermediate mail relay, relaying mail between an internal LAN and the Internet, or perform final delivery to mailboxes. The Courier mail server uses maildirs as its native mail storage format, but it can also deliver mail to legacy mailbox files as well. The Courier mail server's configuration is set by plain text files and Perl scripts. Most of The Courier mail server's configuration can now be adjusted from a web browser, using The Courier mail server's web-based administration module.

The Courier mail server can provide mail services for regular operating system accounts. The Courier mail server can also provide mail services for virtual mail accounts, managed by an LDAP, MySQL, or PostgreSQL-based authentication database.

OpenEMM

aMule is an eMule-like client for the eD2k and Kademlia networks, supporting multiple platforms. Currently aMule (officially) supports a wide variety of platforms and operating systems, being compatible with more than 60 different hardware+OS configurations. aMule is entirely free, its sourcecode released under the GPL just like eMule, and includes no adware or spyware as is often found in proprietary P2P applications. aMule is built upon the wxWidgets (formerly wxWindows) toolkit, which enables it to support multiple platforms.

Network Security Toolkit (NST)

The toolkit was designed to provide easy access to best-of-breed Open Source Network Security Applications and should run on most x86 platforms. The main intent of developing this toolkit was to provide the network security administrator with a comprehensive set of Open Source Network Security Tools.

What we find rather fascinating with NST is that we can transform most x86 systems (Pentium II and above) into a system designed for network traffic analysis, intrusion detection, network packet generation, wireless network monitoring, a virtual system service server, or a sophisticated network/host scanner. This can all be done without disturbing or modifying any underlying sub-system disk. NST can be up and running on a typical x86 notebook in less than a minute by just rebooting with the NST ISO CD/DVD. The notebook's hard disk will not be altered in any way.

NST also makes an excellent tool to help one with all sorts of crash recovery troubleshooting scenarios and situations.

Aria2 - The Ultra Fast Multi Protocol Download Utility

aria2 is a multi-protocol & multi-source, cross platform download utility. The supported protocols are HTTP(S), FTP, BitTorrent (DHT, PEX, MSE/PE and WEB-Seeding), and Metalink.

aria2 can download a file from multiple sources/protocols and tries to utilize your maximum download bandwidth. It supports downloading a file from HTTP(S)/FTP and BitTorrent at the same time, while the data downloaded from HTTP(S)/FTP is uploaded to the BitTorrent swarm. Using Metalink's chunk checksums, aria2 automatically validates chunks of data while downloading a file like BitTorrent.

There are other alternative applications. But aria2 has 2 distinctive features: (1) aria2 can download a file from several URIs(HTTP(S)/FTP/BitTorrent) and (2) If you give aria2 a list of URIs, aria2 downloads them concurrently. You don't have to wait for the current download queue to finish one file at a time anymore. aria2 tries to utilize your maximum download bandwidth and downloads files quickly.
